Comparative Risk and the CMA. J. Solyst, Chemical Manufacturers Association
The Chemical Manufacturers Association (CMA) Board has adopted a set of risk principles that includes support of "the development and further use of comparative risk ranking approaches for setting priorities across the universe of health, safety, and environmental risks." CMA is committed to enactment of legislation that provides for comparative risk and to the development of accepted methodologies for conducting comparative risk analyses. The presentation will focus on CMA's efforts to ensure that risk bills before the 104th Congress include comparative risk provisions, and efforts to demonstrate how such provisions can be implemented.
