In this paper we present the results of the survey of the publications of the Belarus papers: ("Narodnaya gazeta," Sovetskaya Belorussia," "Zvyazda") on the problems of the technological risk connected with the activities of industrial enterprises and transport in big industrial cities. We show how much attention is paid to these matters by mass media and what interests are the most in this respect. We also compare how well these problems are depicted before and after the Chernobyl accident. Analysis of the reasons for a small amount of publications on the matter is given.
