Kathleen (Katy) Kunzer is a 1983 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. In her first job out of law school, she worked for the Office of the Maryland State Attorney General in the Antitrust Division and then for the Washington office of the law firm Baker & Hostetler.
Currently, she is an assistant general counsel to the Chemical Manufacturers Association in Arlington, Virginia, with responsibility for risk and regulatory reform issues. During 1996, she worked closely with state governments, industrial representatives, and democratic and republican members of Congress to develop a reasonable, comprehensive risk and regulatory reform bill. She also works with state chemical industry organizations on state risk assessment, comparative risk, and regulatory reform legislative proposals.
