Offers Student Award

August 8, 1997 -- Students whose papers or posters have been accepted for the 1997 Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) Annual Meeting are eligible to apply for the first annual Student Award for Meritorious Research in Dose Response Assessment sponsored by the society’s Dose Response Specialty Group. The award, which will not be available to students receiving SRA travel grants, will defray the student’s registration fee and partial expense of attending the meeting on December 7-10 in Washington, D.C. (http://www.sra.org).

"This award initiates an annual student award program which Dose Response Specialty Group members are supporting in part through their annual group dues," says Elisabeth Reese of the National Research Council, who is a member of the group’s executive committee.

Students who would like to be considered for the award should send three copies of their accepted abstract to SRA Dose Response Specialty Group President Matthew S. The deadline for submission is October 1, 1997.
