and medicine, who are involved in chemical health and safety. The society's Division of Chemical

health. The council's publications include peer-reviewed special reports

| This international non-profit organization
was organized by independent
individuals who are knowledgeable in the radiation health effects science and

policy in the public interest, to provide
examples of the
extensive scientific data
supporting their position, and to advocate for appropriate research.

| Society of Toxicology |
| Founded in 1961,
this professional and
scholarly organization of scientists who practice toxicology aims to promote the acquisition and utilization of knowledge in
toxicology, to aid in the protection of public health, facilitates
disciplines, and to have a strong commitment to education in toxicology and to
the recruitment of students and new members into the profession. SOT deals
with risk assessment issues through several of its specialty sections
and through an appointed committee named Task Force
to Improve the Scientific Basis of Risk Assessment.
