Dose-Response Boot Camp: Risk Assessment from 0 to 100 in Five Days! Toxicology Excellence for Risk Assessment (TERA) will hold its Dose-Response Assessment Boot Camp, an in-depth hands-on training in hazard characterization and dose-response assessment for developing human health risk assessments, in the Washington, DC, area on September 15-19, 2008. This week-long course with emphasis on dose response assessment will be based on the popular chemical risk assessment training sessions that TERA developed and has presented to various audiences in the past decade. The camp is designed to provide systematic training in current assessment practices and in the latest methods in human health chemical risk assessments.
The Boot Camp will be held at the headquarters of Noblis, Inc., 3150 Fairview Park Drive South, Falls Church, Virginia, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day with the exception of Friday, which usually ends at 2:00 PM. There are several hotels within two miles of Noblis: the Marriott Fairview Park (directly across the street from Noblis), which has a shuttle that runs between the hotel and the Metro (for anyone commuting); the Homestead (0.7 miles); Residence Inn by Marriott (0.7 miles); Homewood Suites by Hilton (1 mile); and Courtyard Marriott (1.5 miles). Hotels in this area book up quickly, so reservations should be made as soon as possible. For more information, go to http://www.tera.org/education/bootcamp/Sept2008Bootcamp.htm, or contact Patricia Nance at nance@tera.org or telephone 513-542-7475, ext. 25. (posted 8/5/08)
