WESTWOOD, Mass., June 5 /PR
Newswire/ -- A new resource for insurance and financial services
professionals was launched today when e-Services Corporation activated its
Knowledge Digest website (www.knowledgedigest.com).
The business-to-business website provides easy access to a wealth of
information of interest to the insurance industry, including legislative
initiatives, technological advances and product developments.
"The insurance industry as a whole has been slow to take advantage
of the Internet's potential," said Kathleen McGrath, e-Services
Editor-Knowledge Digest. "Our website makes available access to the
kinds of information insurance professionals need to keep abreast of
developments in the industry." McGrath noted that Knowledge Digest contains both original content and
links to other sites on the Internet that contain information of interest
to the insurance industry. "When people use Knowledge Digest, they
can access industry research, learn about survey and market research
results, read reviews on subjects ranging from risk management to
technological breakthroughs," she said. "It makes a variety of
information sources available through one site. It will be of use to
agents, underwriters -- any insurance professional." The site is
powered by LEXIS/NEXIS Tell Me More. At its launch, Knowledge Digest's information categories are: Global
Reach, Reshaping the Industry, Insurance Medicine, Risk Management, Long
Term Care, Health, Privacy, Insurance and the Net and Technology. Other
categories will be added in the future. "We'll update material at least once a week," McGrath said.
"Each category will be updated as events dictate. Our objective is to
stay current with developments affecting the industry, so that insurance
professionals come to regard Knowledge Digest as a preferred source of
information. And we'll filter the information for relevance, so that users
will get a greater value than they would from a standard wire service news
feed." McGrath noted that visitors to the site can register to
receive a weekly e-mail that will include a summary of the recent updates
and additions. e-Services Corporation is a member of the MIB Group. It provides
products and services that are in addition to the shared medical
information database that traditionally has been the focus of MIB's fraud
detection and deterrence service to the industry. SOURCE: e-Services Corporation WEB SITE: http://www.knowledgedigest.com/ ST: Massachusetts |
