The Society for Risk Analysis will hold a symposium on
"Health Risk Assessment: Current Issues," September 30
October 1, 1996, at the Washington National Airport
Hilton, Arlington, Virginia. Nine internationally recognized
leaders in risk assessment and risk management will share their
expertise on topics ranging from the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agencys proposed Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk
Assessment and the recently released report of the federal
Commission on Risk Assessment and Risk Management to biologically
based modeling and reproductive risks. Elizabeth L. Anderson of
Sciences International Inc., chair of the SRA Conferences and
Workshops Committee and former SRA president, will chair the
symposium and also present a history of carcinogen and
noncarcinogen risk assessment. The deadline for early
registration at reduced fees is September 13. For more
