International Association for Probabilistic Safety Assessment and Management (IAPSAM)

IAPSAM sponsors and oversees the organization of the International Conferences on Probabilistic Safety Assessment and Management (PSAM), which promote rational decision making to assure safety and reliability and to optimize the use of resources for complex systems through the use of risk assessment and management methods. The conferences, which are held at approximately two-year intervals, provide a public forum for information exchanges covering both theory and applications of these methods to the design and operation of technological systems and processes. PSAM Conferences are now the premier international forum for communication among experts in risk and reliability assessment and management. (Posted January 2000.)
