WebMedLitoffers easy access to the latest medical literature on the web. WebMedLit
indexes medical web
sites every day; extracts the available citations, abstracts, and full-text
articles; and presents the articles from each in a streamlined, consistent
format. (Posted October 1999.)
This site navigation and linking service (the system) for creating on-line
communities, called rings, enables Internet users to find and link to
a variety of unaffiliated host computers around the world that choose to
link themselves by joining a ring on a particular subject. The system also
allows people who already have web pages to create a ring, linking pages on
a similar subject matter, or to join an existing ring on the system.
Visitors can locate rings through the service's directory
or search tool. The service is free for members (sites that link to a
ring) and for visitors. (Posted February 2000.)
